Riga Free Walking Tour

Hello fellow Globetrotters!

This time, I want to tell you about the Riga Free Walking Tour which I did in Riga.  As the name says it is free, but if you want to you can give a little tip at the end of the tour.
You need to know that there are two different ones: there is one at eleven o´clock and one at twelve o´clock. The first one shows you the Old Town of Riga – the second one gets you up the beaten path.
I chose the second one. It lasts about 2 1/2 hours.

Riga – what I did there.

So, at twelve I met with or guide in front of the St.Peters church, where the meeting point is. The yellow bag you can see at the top is the sign.
The guide noticed immediately that we were German, just because we were on time. But we waited till everyone was there.
The guide we had was very nice and she told us a lot about things she experienced, for example two guys from the same country and the same town met in Riga and noticed they were living in the same street. Well, coincidence at it´s finest.

The first stop we made was Riga Central Market! If you want to know more about it, have a look below.

Get to know: Riga Central Market

Here and there we made a stop – our guide told us a lot about the architecture and the culture of Riga – really nice.
As you can see in the picture we also made a stop in the Old Town.

The people in Riga love cats. Maybe that is the reason why they even have a cat hotel.

Watch also: The Corner House – KGB Building

When you take a walk through the moscow district you should watch out for a small tunnel! If you walk through it you have one of the best views ever!
