Time will wash away a lot of things. With time passing things will be forgotten. Things right now you are stressing about and have been for such a long time will be forgotten.
Everyone always worries about things they did. Words they said. Because it were not the “right” words or actions. If there is even right or wrong.
But people won’t remember you as a person who once said something wrong. People won’t remember you as a person who once did something wrong.
In the end neither words nor actions count that much.
People will remember a person who made them feel good better than a person who made them only feel average.
Most importantly people will never forget you if you made them feel bad. Bad about themselves, the world or anything. Bad things stick to our minds.
That doesn’t mean to treat everyone as if they never did anything wrong. We all make mistakes. And that is a good thing. It is just that being kind to one another will make us all feel better. Better about life, ourselves and one another.
But at the same time you should treat everyone with honesty. It doesn’t help to be all kind and friendly if all you ever do is tell lies.
One way or another; no matter what you will do; you will hurt people. Sadly hurting and being hurt are side effects of life. But sometimes suffering makes the good times better.
Because if you have gone with someone through pain and suffering and you still hold on it will probably last longer. It will stick you closer together.
Hurting and being hurt. You should not not end a long term relationship in which you are unhappy just because you know you will hurt that other person.
Keeping the truth from people and the truth comes out later on it will probably do even more damage than if you had told the truth from the beginning.
It is partly your decision as what or how people will remember you. That is maybe a question you should ask yourself: How do I want to be remembered?
As the person who made everyone or someone feel good or the one who made someone feel bad?
But it is not all about good or bad. The whole thing is a mixture between both. Our life; a mixture with good and bad things.
You decide who you are.
