Hello fellow Globetrotters!
The last post was about the charming city Uzès (here).
One thing you should know about me (Lenja) is that I love markets. All kinds of them, especially flea markets (London Camden Market, Bremen).
But there is never anything wrong with a good food market, they are almost everywhere to find in France.
The market in Uzès is a weekly market and takes place every saturday on the Place-aux-herbes and around it in the smaller streets.
Every time I see one of these I always think they are huge cakes .. until I notice they are indeed white nougat in all kind of flavours.
A photo especially for Janet … she hates cheese. (Love you x)
As usual the market does not only contain food, you can find a lot of other (mostly useful) things aswell.
I find it always quite tricky to photograph on markets and I am always a bit suttle about it, try to aim correctly and take a picture … hopefully without anyone noticing. There is nothing wrong with being direct about it but the sellers are either unhappy about it or try to get in the picture, at least that are my experiences. What about you?
Are there any markets you can recommend?
See you soon at our next destination!
