Walk ~ Juist, Germany

dsc06517
Hello fellow Globetrotters!

I just read that Juist, a German island I visited a few times, is planning on becoming the world’s first carbon-neutral tourism destination by 2030.
Especially with what is going in the world right now, with Trump’s decision to step out of the Paris Climate Agreement (is it really 2017?!), everyone should support projects like this even more. It should be our call to finally wake up.
There is no planet B.

Juist is not only a great place to relax and take walks along the beach, you can spot many different animals on the island from oystercatchers to deers.
As you will later on see, if you are lucky you can sometimes even spot seals on the beach.

On this particular day it really was (almost) as empty as it seems in the picture. We only met a few other people on the beach, it is mostly only quite packed when it is sunny and maybe a bit warmer.

Feel free to check out our other blog posts about our time on Juist or ask us any questions. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
