The Cliffs of Kilkee are quite a hidden gem on the coast of County Clare, not far away from the Cliffs of Moher.
The cliffs stretch far into both sides of the village with plenty of space to appreciate the ocean.
At the time I was there last November, the ocean was very wild and the waves kept on splashing up to the path which follows the outline of the cliffs. Only after a few minutes we were completely drenched in salt water. It was really cold but I loved every minute of it.
Later when it almost got dark, we drove over to the village with shattering teeth and went into one of the pubs which had an actual turf fire we all sat in front of trying to get some warmth into us again.
It must be one of my favourite walks I did in the three months of Ireland.
