On my long morning stroll through the city of Paris in late December I naturally also came across a few of the really touristic places as I had just been following the flow of the Seine. The Notre Dame is a Catholic cathedral in the fourth arrondissement on the Ile de la Cité. It is one of the largest and best known Catholic Church buildings across the world and draws in a lot of tourists.
Even in the earlier morning hours there was a huge waiting queue of people who wanted to go inside. So if you want to get inside, be warned and bring patience! (This probably goes for every place in Paris you have to pay entrance for.)
I found it just nice to explore the area a bit, especially since the side away from the queue was not crowded yet due to the early hour.
To be continued …
