Le Place aux herbes

Hello fellow Globetrotters!

Another stop on Lenja’s french trip from last summer. The beautiful city Uzès, in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon.
It is place I connect with summer days and warm evenings.

There are lots of small streets with all kind of shops around the place aux herbes.
Every saturday there is big market.

Lots of restaurantes & bars

If you are in Uzès one way or another you will find yourself on the place aux herbes. The whole day around something is going on. A good place to stop for a refreshment in one of the many bars.
Especially when it is dark the atmosphere is amazing. There are light scattered all other the trees and kids are running around.
You can’t here any cars; only people chatting and crickets “singing”.

The only restaurant I have eaten in on that square was in “Terroirs” and I would really recommend it.
It is not only a good place to eat,  it also includes a little shop with all kind of good things. We always buy a bottle of olive oil there, sadly last year we forgot in our vacation home.
